1. About this policy

This policy explains how Michael Nitschke Pty Ltd (ACN 670 021 075) as trustee for the Michael Nitschke Trust (ABN 11 982 538 704) ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through mn-os ("the service"). We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It sits alongside our Terms and Conditions.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email, business name, and password (stored hashed).
• Workspace content: anything you or your team puts into your tenant, including any personal information you choose to record about your own staff or contacts.
• Billing details: handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs so we can reconcile billing.
• Usage and technical logs: IP address, browser user agent, and timestamps of requests, used to run and secure the service.

3. How we use it

We use personal information to provide the service, bill you, communicate with you about your account, respond to support requests, keep the service secure, and improve it. We may send you service and administrative emails. We will only send marketing emails if you have opted in, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link (in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)).

4. Who we share it with

• You and your invited team members within your tenant.
• Our service providers who help us run the service, including Stripe (billing) and Fly.io (hosting). They only use it to provide their services to us.
• Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to disclose it.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train third-party AI models.

5. Where it is stored

Your workspace data is stored on Fly.io infrastructure in the Sydney region. Stripe processes billing data under its own privacy terms and may store it outside Australia; details are in Stripe's privacy policy. We do not otherwise disclose personal information overseas.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are stored hashed. Access to production systems is restricted. No online service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information for as long as we reasonably need it to provide the service and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your workspace or the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing michael@nitschke.com.au. Some records (for example billing records) may be retained where the law requires.

8. Access and correction

You can view and correct most of your information directly inside the service. You can also ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing michael@nitschke.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Cookies

The service uses a single first-party session cookie to keep you logged in. It does not use third-party trackers, analytics pixels, or advertising cookies inside the app.

10. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email michael@nitschke.com.au and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The version date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be notified in the service.
